Pansies by Paul de Longpre 1900There is a Bible verse which comes to me with force, and which, I think, should be written on the heart of every Christian:

“I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.”

I believe the Christian who couples with that the command, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might,” will have a blessed life.

These are great quotes from Scripture. It’s so interesting that these were quoted a lot by my mother, who was a missionary. She certainly had a blessed life and was a blessing to many. If she were still here on earth, she would love Isabella Alden books. I’m glad to be reminded right now of these verses. Thanks!!

You’re welcome, Vicky. And I agree, the verses Isabella used in her books were so simple yet so eloquent. I particularly like this one.
